I GET TO SERVE
About The Book
AUTHOR, BISHOP ROBERT CHRISTOPHER BROWN, III
Consider how many selfies are taken on a daily basis in the US and around the world? That number would be staggering. Cameras have given us an unlimited possibility of broadcasting ourselves to the world, and with the growth of social media, we can display ourselves to the world on a moments notice. Although nothing is inherently wrong with taking a picture of ourselves and displaying it, there is a very strong possibility that we can become consumed with ourselves at the expense of serving others.
The church is very relevant in today's world and the mission of the church is still foremost on the mind of God. Today, God is challenging men and women to reject the cheap lie of being self-directed and embrace the rich truth of serving God by serving others. In this timely, thought-provoking and easy to read book, Robert C. Brown shares with us how to:
*Reject the lie that those who serve will lose out in life,
*Change our selfish posture for a servant's posture
*Announce to the world that the greatest have always been servants, and Embrace a "get" to serve attitude versus a "got to" serve attitude
In the world of selfies, it's all about us. But in the kingdom of God, it's all about serving others. Not to our detriment, but serving that leads to transformed lives and our betterment in the process.
